Shibden Hall Sun - An original acrylic painting from 2022
Shibden Hall was featured in the BBC drama, Gentleman Jack. Looking into my family history, I discovered, quite by chance, that my maternal Grandmother’s family, the Waterhouses, had owned Shibden Hall for much of the 1500s. Of course I had to pay the Hall a visit, and was inspired to paint this decorative piece in homage to those relatives. In 2024, I sent a box of free greetings cards of the painting to Shibden Hall, which they sold in their gift shop.
Signed on the back. Comes ready to hang with a certificate of authenticity.
