The Yelp

from £40.00

Inspired by Edvard Munch’s ‘The Scream’, this was another piece intended for a series of images featuring dogs in pastiches of famous paintings. I’m not sure why I chose an oversized Chihuahua, but I think his facial shape and features are a good fit, reminiscent of the original artwork. You can feel the little chap’s anguish as the world swirls and eddies around him.

Paper size A4 21cm X 29.7cm/Image size approx 19cm X 26cm

Paper size A3 29.7cm X 42cm/Image size approx 27cm X 36cm

A Giclée print is a high quality archival inkjet print. The word Giclée (pronounced ‘Jee-Klay’ with a soft J), comes from the French verb ‘gicler’ meaning ‘to squirt, spurt, or spray’. In average daylight conditions, the print has a life expectancy of 80 years. In dark storage archival conditions, life expectancy is 200 years!
