Klimt's Forest

from £40.00

I was given this large canvas as a birthday present and it sat around for quite a while before I decided what to paint on it. This was at the beginning of my interest in Klimt. An exhibition at the Tate Liverpool of Klimt’s work in 2008, cemented how I should develop my style, so this was a deliberate homage to Klimt.

A Giclée print is a high quality archival inkjet print. The word Giclée (pronounced ‘Jee-Klay’ with a soft J), comes from the French verb ‘gicler’ meaning ‘to squirt, spurt, or spray’. In average daylight conditions, the print has a life expectancy of 80 years. In dark storage archival conditions, life expectancy is 200 years!
